The name comes from a whimsical expression of the idea of a near infinite number. My daughter and I were looking to make a Discord profile name for me one day and after a few failed attempts to find a unique name that wasn't already taken, she says off the cuff that there are already "like 80 Jillion" people on here taking all the names. I said, I bet 80jillion is available, and you can see what happened next. It was an easy way to secure a unique and consistent user id across a number of platforms. Thanks sweetie!
